LaRRI's Education Programmes

LaRRI offers a range of short - to medium - term courses for trade union leaders, organisers and shopstewards in Namibia and the SADC region. These include:

  • labour economics and globalisation
  • export processing zones (EPZs)
  • structural adjustment programmes (SAPs)
  • collective bargaining
  • affirmative action
  • gender issues in trade unions
  • labour law.

In addition, LaRRI offers a labour diploma course which is run in co-operation with the Workers College and the University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa.

LaRRI also participates in the activities of the African Labour Educators Network (ALEN), which designs and implements worker education programmes across the continent.
