LaRRI has managed to cover about 30% of its expenses through commissioned work for trade unions, NGOs and the Ministry of Labour. About 70% of the institute's expenses are covered through international organisations that support LaRRI's work.

It is envisaged that LaRRI will still increase its financial self-reliance in the years to come by marketing its services. However, LaRRI will ensure that its work remains affordable for its constituency and that it is not driven by commercial considerations.
